A virtual webinar on the topic ‘Effects of Covid on studies and learning’ was jointly organized on 9th of October by Rotary Club of Nashik Grapecity as host and co-hosted by RC of Nagpur under the banner of District Action Group of Mental Health Initiatives.
The speaker was Dr Ashish Deshpande, a well-known psychiatrist from Mumbai and was introduced by Rtn. Anil Deshmukh, President RCN Grapecity. The webinar was open for all interactors, parents and teachers from District 3030 and was attended by about 95 participants. The take home message from the webinar was that 30% efficacy has gone down during online learning as there are many distractions, technological limitations and lack of discipline amongst students as compared to offline school learning. So though we found a way to keep the academic sessions going on during the challenging Covid times, physical schooling is a must for optimum learning and balanced growth of the students.
Rtn Kirti Chande was the MOC and conducted the program efficiently. Dr Harish Warbhe, Director Medical Committee (RC Nagpur) introduced the speaker Dr Ashish. DGND 2024-25 Rtn. Rajinder Khurana was the chief guest and he motivated the students through his inspiring words. Q&A session was moderated by Rita Aggarwal District chair RAG.
